  • Life Insurance products like : whole life insurance, term life assurance, endowment assurance, annuity assurance, educational/marriage assurance, etc.
  • Special Product for diaspora like Medical and Accident Insurance.

Q2 Can I get/arrange insurance cover in Ethiopia?

Yes, from where you are :

  • You can arrange Medical & Accident Insurance covers for your beloved ones living in Ethiopia.
  • You can arrange Property Insurance covers for your properties and investments in Ethiopia.

Q3 What kind of coverages available in Medical & Accident Insurance?

Medical & Accident Insurance covers, all medical and hospitalization expenses (up to the limit stated on the schedule) caused due to natural illness and/or accident. The limit depends on the amount of annual premium. (Please contact your agent for complete information)

Q4 What are the exclusions of Medical & Accident Insurance cover?

Medical & Accident Insurance does not cover: expenses related to: Pregnancies and child birth ;Illness, defect or infirmity prior to the insurance cover; and Normal checkup, Venereal disease, self-injury, suicide and HIV. (Please contact your agent for complete information)

Q6 How can I get Insurance cover for my relatives or properties in Ethiopia?

You can get the cover through our agents in USA and our website - www.nyalainsurance.com. The following steps show how you get the cover:

  • Identify your relative/friend to whom you want to provide Insurance cover. Your beloved ones and their assets could be anywhere in the major cities and towns of Ethiopia
  • Identify/Select your agent among Nyala Insurance’s marketing agents.
  • Fill on-line Insurance Service Request Form at www.nyalainsurance.com
  • We shall then contact your agent, locate your beloved ones, make the necessary ground work and e-mail back to you and your agent about cover details and price quotation.
  • Make payment to your agent.
  • Upon receipt of payment advice from your agent, policy shall be issued and become effective on the day the advice is received; document will be presented to your loved ones, and e-mail you the action taken.
  • During cover period, we shall communicate policy status to you and your agent.

Q7 Where does one get the service?
  • Customers having Accident and Medical Insurance are served at any one of these cities/towns listed here.
  • Customers having other types of Insurances, such as Auto, Fire and Marine are served nationwide, i.e. any cities, towns, or villages where accidents, God forbid, takes place.

Q8 Which medical service providers can give me the service?
Hospitals and Clinics selected by NISCO on the basis of capacity, service and efficiency.

Q9 Which pharmacies can give me the service?

Any pharmacy selected by NISCO which would be identified to the client while the policy is issued.



Q10 What are the payment methods?
Payments would be made on credit basis and as per credit agreement NISCO has with different Clinics, Hospitals and Pharmacies.
